The Importance of Using Good Cleaning Products

How often do you use cleaning products to clean your home? Do you make sure they’re natural and environmentally friendly? How important is it to use cleaning products that aren’t harsh on the environment? Check out this blog post to learn more about the importance of using good cleaning products and why it matters in your overall health.

There Are Toxic Ingredients in Some Cleaning Products

Toxins are found in many cleaning products and those toxic chemicals have been linked to cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, hormonal abnormalities, and more. As a result, it is important that we understand what goes into some over-the-counter cleaning products before using them in our homes.

To make sure you aren’t unknowingly exposing yourself or your family to harmful chemicals around your home, talk to a professional cleaning service about your options. Even common household products and air fresheners can be toxic, not to mention relatively expensive. When you start an at-home cleaning or opt for cleaning services, it’s important to understand what kind of products these services will be using.

Perhaps, increase productivity by cleaning your living space, or consider hiring a professional cleaning service to do the job. You don’t have to get rid of your regular cleaning service—just do some general maintenance to keep your living space healthy and tidy! Your health will thank you.

Toxic Cleaners Can Affect Physical Health

Toxins can build up in our brains and bodies, making us more susceptible to illnesses. If you clean your own home, be sure to use cleaning products that are safe for your family’s health. After all, one of the reasons you might be cleaning is to prevent illnesses from occurring! Also, it’s worth noting that, a lot of times, natural cleaning products tend to be healthier than artificially developed cleaners.

In order to avoid cleaning with toxins in a potentially dangerous situation or environment, ensure that your cleaning supplies contain chemicals that are safe for human contact. For instance, if you’re cleaning in the kitchen, it’s best to avoid chemicals such as ammonia, chlorine, or sodium hydroxide. These chemicals are just some examples of hazardous cleaning agents which should not be used in areas where you (or your loved ones) frequent.

Furthermore, to keep toxins at bay, try hiring a professional cleaning service. Cleaning services will thoroughly clean every surface within your home so that your loved ones don’t come into contact with contaminants, helping to minimize illness and clutter. There are plenty of reputable companies to choose from; just be sure you find one with low prices and great reviews, such as Sparkling Clean. Sparkling Clean uses non-toxic, eco-friendly cleaning products so that you can rest assured that your family is safe in the home!

Skin Reactions From Chemicals

Several cleaning products often contain chemicals that could cause skin irritation or allergic reactions which could build up over time. That’s why you should use skin-safe cleaning agents to help keep your home clean!

Find a cleaning service that uses biodegradable, natural, and eco-friendly cleaning products that are safe for both people and the environment. There are solutions out there that do a solid job at disinfecting, while also remaining safe for human contact.

Moreover, nobody wants to be overwhelmed by the potentially hazardous skin reactions from chemicals in cleaning agents. Negative side-effects should be the last thing on your mind when improving your overall livelihood by cleaning your home. Therefore, be on the lookout for potentially dangerous chemicals when shopping for cleaning products, especially ones that are used on your body or in a location where you, or your loved ones, frequent.

Depending on which cleaning product you purchase, different products offer different degrees of cleaning strength and severity. It’s important to have options when cleaning your home – especially if there are multiple areas that could benefit from using a variety of cleaning solutions. For instance, some areas might require a more thorough cleaning, whereas others might benefit from a milder solution with more routine cleaning. The stronger the cleaner- the more hazardous it will be to your skin and health, so choose wisely!

What About Our Environment?

Many modern-day cleaning products contain harmful chemicals that can pollute our water supply and create hazardous waste. Whether we’re cleaning a toilet or a computer, it’s important to pay attention to what kind of product we use so that we aren’t contributing to poor air quality and water contamination.

Switching from standard household products to more environmentally friendly alternatives will lead to a more sustainable future. The best part is that while protecting the environment, you’ll also be protecting yourself from harsh cleaning agents.

The benefits of using all-natural and safe cleaning solutions far outweigh the negatives of using cleaning products that contain dangerous chemicals, such as bleach or ammonia. You may not see an immediate difference, but years down the road your children will be grateful you took the proper safety measures in order to protect their future.

How to Avoid Scary Chemicals in Your Home

When you’re thinking about cleaning your home, don’t make decisions based on price or brand—make them based on safety. Choose safer cleaning products that use no dyes, no perfumes, and are non-toxic.

There’s a solid reason that, nowadays, many individuals and organizations alike are choosing to switch to all-natural and healthier solutions. As our knowledge of the health sector expands, scientists are discovering the possible hazards that some cleaning agents might yield. It may seem like a minor decision with little impact, but if your cleaning products aren’t safe to use in a lab or a business setting…what makes you think they’re safe to use at home?

Furthermore, check into professional cleaning services—they can give your home a deep clean while also keeping everyone safe from chemicals. Doing so is important for your loved ones’ health, morale, and productivity. Sparkling Clean Pro goes above and beyond to use non-toxic and eco-friendly cleaning products that are safe for your everyday living activities.

5 Ways to Teach Your Kids to Clean

If you can’t get your kids to help clean up after themselves, you’re not alone. Many parents find it difficult to get their children to contribute around the house, but with a little motivation and creativity, you can make cleaning fun and easy. In this article, we’ll share 5 ways to teach your kids to clean and become more helpful members of the household.

1) Start Your Kids Early

Teaching kids from an early age is important because it means they don’t have to overcome ingrained habits when they get older—they just know how things work. The earlier you start, though, the better: Even something as simple as making sure the toys they get out to play with are put back where they belong imprint good habits in young minds!  This way, all you need to do later on is ensure that expectations for their behavior and household responsibilities are consistently enforced throughout childhood.

2) Introduce Them To Simple Household Tasks

The first thing that you need to do is introduce your children to simple household tasks. Kids like having responsibilities,  so when they can make a real difference in their homes, they’ll take pride in it.

It’s important to take into account your child’s age when beginning to introduce cleaning tasks to them. The younger they are, the easier the tasks should be so they don’t get discouraged. The older your children are, the more complex the cleaning tasks can be.

For example, you can have start by simply picking up their toys and organizing them into cubbies. Then, you can slowly introduce harder tasks like wiping down tables and countertops and dusting shorter shelves.  By showing kids how these tasks are important and helpful, it will encourage them to take interest in helping around their homes as well.

3) Teach Kids Good Cleaning Habits

As our kids get older, they want to be more involved in household chores and upkeep. But with all of their other activities and responsibilities, teaching them how to help clean can be a challenge. Here are some ideas for teaching your kids good cleaning habits while keeping things simple.

  1. Pick up one item or area at a time – don’t overwhelm them or you might end up with something worse than before!
  2. Work together as a family – let everyone pitch in and take turns picking up after each other.
  3. Model doing it yourself – let your child see you doing an area before they have to do it themselves.
  4. Explain what you’re doing – talking about why a task is important or how it helps your family will help them understand and want to help.
  5. Stay positive – praise them for any help they offer and don’t get frustrated if it’s not perfect at first!

According to Healthline’s article ‘How Long Does It Take for a New Behavior to Become Automatic?’, it takes anywhere from “18 to 254 days for a person to form a new habit”, so stay consistent and remain patient with your child.

4) Create A Reward System

To teach your kids how important it is to clean, you might need to create a system of rewards. As your kids grow older, they should have an increased sense of responsibility and as such, they will be able to help out around the house more.

The best way for them to learn how important chores are is through positive reinforcement. For example, if your child cleans their room without being told or asked three times in a week then they deserve a reward. The reward could be extra screen time or maybe even monetary gain. For younger children, you can start with a chore chart and award them with stickers or checkmarks each time they accomplish something.

If a child sees that doing their chores is actually beneficial to them instead of just something that needs to be done, then they’ll develop good habits at a young age. And once those habits are set into place, cleaning becomes second nature and doesn’t seem like such a burden.

No matter what age your child is, they will be proud of themselves for accomplishing their goals and will want to continue doing their chores regularly if there is some sort of reward associated with it.

5) Make it Fun

It’s hard to make cleaning fun, but you can find ways to make it less stressful and more enjoyable. Start off with a game of charades or hide-and-seek; after that, keep a box of toys and games in each room so kids can clean while they play. Turning chores into challenges is great for teaching kids how to set goals and achieve them!

One fun game idea is to let your kids run around and pick up as many toys as they can in ten minutes and return them to a pile in the living room. Whoever picks up the most toys, wins! And then, you have a convenient pile of toys that can be put away in the playroom or bedroom.

When you turn cleaning into a fun game, it encourages kids to interact and engage in the cleaning process without the idea of it being a chore or a burden.

Tea Tree Oil: The Natural Cleaner

There are many ways to clean your home without using harsh, chemical-based cleaning supplies. Some of the most effective natural cleaners can be found right in your pantry, and one of the most popular options out there is tea tree oil. This plant-based cleaner has been used for thousands of years in traditional remedies and can help you keep your home clean in a safe and eco-friendly way that even kids can use with ease! Here’s how to use it to clean nearly anything around your house!

What Is Tea Tree Oil?
Tea tree oil, or melaleuca oil, is a non-toxic essential oil that can be used as a powerful natural cleaner. Tea tree oil comes from an Australian plant, but it’s also grown in Asia and South America. It’s most commonly used to treat medical issues including cold sores, warts, and toothaches. Tea tree oil contains terpinen-4-ol, which is what gives it its unique antibacterial properties. In fact, tea tree oil has been shown to kill not only bacteria but viruses, too! Additionally, tea tree oil doesn’t just fight bacteria—it also works against fungal infections such as ringworm and athlete’s foot. In short, tea tree oil makes a great multi-purpose cleaning agent for your home.

8 Ways to Use Tea Tree Oil for Cleaning
Tea tree oil is a natural cleaner and disinfectant. Many people turn to chemicals for these purposes, but that’s not an eco-friendly option. Tea tree oil can replace harsh cleaning products with something that’s healthier, cheaper, and just as effective. Here are 8 ways to use tea tree oil for cleaning your home.

  1. Kill germs on countertops and kitchen appliances. In a glass spray bottle, combine 2 cups of water with about 10 drops of tea tree oil. Shake well before each use. Spray over your sink and stove; wipe clean immediately after. You can also use it to sanitize knives and cutting boards. This mixture will last for a month if stored in a cool, dark place like your pantry or laundry room cabinet. To refresh it, add more water and tea tree oil at the time of use.
  2. Neutralize odors in trash cans and diaper pails. Place a few drops of tea tree oil on a tissue or cotton ball, place inside your garbage container, and then cover with its lid. You can also add it to your home’s deodorizer balls to help neutralize smells for up to 6 months at a time.
  3. Remove pet hair from furniture and clothes with no residue left behind. If you have a dog or cat, then you know how difficult it can be to remove pet hair from fabrics. Put a few drops of tea tree oil in a glass spray bottle filled with water, shake well, then spritz over your couch or favorite chair and rub gently with a cloth. You won’t see any oils or cleaning agents on your fabric when you’re done; just clean fresh-smelling cushions that are free of hairs!
  4. Add a few drops of tea tree oil to your hand soap to increase its antibacterial properties and boost the smell.
  5. Clean your bathroom naturally without having to buy expensive chemicals every time you run out. Fill a spray bottle with 2 cups of water, 2 tbsp of vinegar, and 10 drops of tea tree oil, then shake well before each use. Spritz over toilet bowls, sinks, and tubs, then wipe clean with a dry cloth or paper towel.
  6. Deodorize the air in your home using tea tree oil. Add a few drops of tea tree oil to a diffuser and place it in a spot that needs the most deodorizing.
  7. Remove mold without toxic chemicals by mixing equal parts vinegar and water in a spray bottle, then adding 2 tsp of lemon juice plus 10-15 drops of tea tree oil before shaking well. Spray over moldy areas, then scrub lightly with an old toothbrush or similar cleaning tool before rinsing off completely afterward.
  8. Remove grime from your flooring. Mix 10 drops of tea tree oil with 2 cups of water in a spray bottle, then use an old toothbrush to scrub it into any spots. Afterward, mop as normal.

How to Choose A Good Quality Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil has a number of health benefits but can be ineffective if it is poor quality or diluted. Before using tea tree oil for any purpose, read about how to choose a good quality tea tree oil. When you are looking for a tea tree oil product, look out for these things before you buy:

  1. Look At What Is In It – Make sure your product contains nothing other than 100% pure tea tree oil; there should be no additional ingredients like alcohols or fillers used in it.
  2. Look At The Packaging – Choose products that come in airtight bottles with labels containing all relevant information such as ingredient listing and storage instructions.
  3. Where Is It From? – Products that are produced locally usually have a better quality than those that are imported, so check where your product is from. If it isn’t from Australia or New Zealand, make sure you don’t get ripped off by purchasing a low-quality tea tree oil product.

How to Store Your Tea Tree Oil
If you’re using tea tree oil for eco-friendly cleaning, there are a few things to keep in mind when it comes to storing it. Tea tree oil is highly concentrated, so make sure to store yours in a place where it won’t be exposed to high temperatures or direct sunlight. This will help prevent oxidation, which can lead to spoilage.

You should also consider putting your bottle of tea tree oil in a dark-colored glass container with an airtight lid to increase the longevity and potency of your tea tree oil.

How to Tidy Up Your House Quickly & Easily

If you’re like most people, your home probably doesn’t look as tidy as you’d like it to. Between your work and your personal life, you probably find yourself lacking the time to pick up and clean around your home. If you’re short on time, there are ways to simplify the process so that tidying up doesn’t seem like such a daunting task on your to-do list. Read this article to learn how to tidy up your house quickly and easily with these simple tips and tricks!

Start With The Visible Mess

Start with what you can see. It will make the clean-up process feel less overwhelming and more rewarding when you start with the visible clutter and mess.

Do a quick sweep through your home with a trash bag and pick up all of the trash first. Then, do a second sweep through and put away items that are sitting out back where they belong. It’s best to start where you and your family spend the most time, like the kitchen and the living room, and then move to the less-trafficked areas next, like the bedroom and the office.

Now that you have picked up the visible clutter, you can work on getting rid of items in your home that you don’t need or don’t find yourself using anymore.

Get Rid of Stuff You Don’t Need

One of the most effective ways to keep your house cleaned and organized is by getting rid of stuff you don’t need. Start by designating a donation bin or box where the items you don’t need can go. Then, start by getting rid of items sitting out visibly in your home. You may have a collection of books that you have already read that are now just taking up space. These kinds of items cause unnecessary clutter and donating them would allow someone else to utilize and enjoy them!

After you’ve put the obvious clutter in a donation bin, you can move on to less obvious organization and decluttering. Take a look in your drawers, cabinets, and closets, and get rid of the items you haven’t used in years. You can choose to donate or sell these unused items for some extra cash!

Tackle Hidden Clutter

Once you’ve done some of the general picking-up and decluttering, you can focus on decluttering the hidden spaces you try and forget about. These spaces include your storage closets, under the sink, and junk drawers.

Going through these spaces and decluttering can be time-consuming, so you can choose to work on it for short periods of time across a whole week or set aside a day to tackle the clutter.

It’s easy to get overwhelmed with the amount of clutter you have, but taking it step by step can make it easier to accomplish reorganizing and decluttering.

Light Cleaning

Now that you’ve picked up the clutter from your home, you can do some light general cleaning to freshen up your space. Light cleaning takes very little time but makes a big difference in your space!

Kitchen

  • Wipe down counters
  • Clean out dishes in the sink
  • Wipe down the sink
  • Take out the trash
  • Vacuum the floors

Bathrooms

  • Wipe down counters
  • Clean the mirrors with glass cleaner
  • Wipe down the toilet
  • Vacuum the floors
  • Take out the trash

Living Room

  • Organize decorative pillows
  • Fold or organize blankets
  • Vacuum the floors
  • Wipe down the coffee table

Dining Room

  • Wipe down the dining room/ kitchen table
  • Push in the dining chairs

Bedrooms

  • Make the bed
  • Put away any clothes
  • Vacuum

You can always adjust this list to best serve you and your home’s needs. You can also adjust this list depending on your schedule and the time you have! Don’t let light cleaning or picking up overwhelm you, just take one step at a time!

The Ultimate Guide to Cleaning Your Refrigerator

Cleaning your refrigerator can seem like a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be. For the ultimate guide to cleaning your refrigerator, keep reading! This guide will help you clean out your refrigerator’s shelves, spills, and messes in no time at all!

Why It’s Important to Clean Out Your Fridge

The best way to keep your fridge clean is by cleaning it regularly. This helps prevent bacteria and mold from growing in your refrigerator, which can lead to food spoilage. By cleaning out your fridge regularly, you can keep you and your family safe by keeping the food you prepare and eat fresh and healthy. These factors result in having a better quality of life, both for yourself and others in your household.

Remove Everything in The Fridge

You might think you’re being frugal, but I can almost guarantee that your fridge is holding some food items that have outlived their shelf lives. Every time you open your refrigerator door and grab an item, you’re at risk of consuming something stale or spoiled. That’s why it’s important to do a thorough cleaning at least once a month—you never know what could be lurking in there.

Start by removing everything from your refrigerator; then check expiration dates on all products and throw away anything questionable (or expired). Don’t forget to also check the expiration and freshness dates on all of the condiments, too!

Now that the fridge is empty, you can easily start cleaning it.

Clean Removable Shelves

Remove your fridge’s removable shelves and thoroughly clean them in hot soapy water. If the shelves are extra dirty and caked up with grime, let them soak in hot, soapy water until the grime is easier to remove. To go an extra step, once the fridge shelves are cleaned with dish soap, use a disinfectant spray to get any remaining germs or bacteria off the surface.

If the shelves cannot be removed, then you may need to give them a good scrub with some cleaning products while still in the fridge. You can still use a sponge and dish soap to clean off the shelves or use paper towels and disinfectant spray.

You might be able to put the shelves in the dishwasher to make it even easier to clean but always double-check your refrigerator manual to make sure they are safe to put in the dishwasher.

Clean Removable Drawers

Removable fridge drawers can also be soaked in the soak in hot, soapy water to remove any grime. Scrub them down with a sponge or other dish scrubber. This will help you clean and sanitize your drawer at once. To clean even further, use an all-purpose cleaner or a disinfectant spray and wipe down all sides of your removable drawer as well as along any inner nooks and crannies (e.g., cracks where food gets trapped).

If the drawers are small enough, you might be able to run them through the dishwasher cycle to ensure they are ultra-clean. Just check the refrigerator manual to see if the drawers are able to be put in the dishwasher, first.

Clean the Interior of the Fridge

Use an all-purpose cleaning spray or a disinfecting spray to thoroughly spray the sides and all surfaces of the refrigerator. Don’t forget the shelves in the fridge door too!

If you have time, consider letting it sit for several minutes before wiping it down with a clean towel. The cleaner can do its job while you get busy scrubbing out other items in your kitchen or bathroom such as faucets, toilets, and shower doors.

Microfiber cloths are also a great tool to use along with the disinfectant or cleaning spray to get it extra clean. Microfiber cloths won’t leave behind any dust particles in your fridge and they can be used over and over again.

Replace Shelves, Drawers, and Food

Once you have wiped down the interior and removed all of the dirt and grime, replace the shelves and drawers. Then you can replace all of your food and enjoy your clean fridge! You should clean out your fridge at least once a month to ensure that you don’t eat spoiled or expired food. It’s also important to clean the refrigerator out at least once a month to kill and prevent any bacteria from growing where your store your food!

Hire A Professional Cleaning Service

If your refrigerator is a mess and your schedule is too busy, don’t sweat it. You can have it professionally cleaned by hiring a cleaning service who can take care of the hard work.

How to Clean Your Oven the Right Way

You’ll probably need to clean your oven at some point. You may want to refresh the appearance of your appliance, or you may simply want to eliminate odors in your kitchen. Whatever the reason, here are some tips on how to clean an oven and make it look new again.

Why it is Important to Keep Your Oven Clean

A clean oven helps your kitchen look great and makes it safer for you and your family. Keeping your oven clean isn’t too hard, but it takes some diligence on your part. To increase the longevity of your oven, it’s important to keep it clean between uses. Food debris and grime can easily build up in the oven, especially if you use it often, and can make it unsafe for use.  It is much easier to clean small bits of food and dirt than a large caked-on mess; however, many people avoid cleaning their oven out because it seems like a daunting task. Here are some tips that will help you simplify your oven cleaning task.

Finding the Right Cleaning Products

When it comes to oven cleaning, a good rule of thumb is: don’t trust that your average dish soap will be able to handle all of that grease. Look for stronger oven cleaners at your local grocery store. Make sure you always wear gloves when cleaning with chemicals and follow all safety instructions on your cleaner container. Also, don’t mix different cleaners—your skin can absorb chemicals in a concentrated form if they come into contact with each other while you’re working on your project. Mixing cleaners can also be a recipe for toxic fumes that can harm you or your pets.

You can find natural cleaning products that are safer for you and your home that are just as effective. Another option is to make a paste out of white vinegar and baking soda if you want to go the DIY route!  Both vinegar and baking soda will cut through grease and help neutralize odors in your oven.

Cleaning the Interior of the Oven

There are a number of ways to clean your oven. If your oven has a self-cleaning feature, run the self-cleaning and allow all of the food bits to turn to ash. After the self-cleaning cycle has run, it’s easy to wipe out the ash from the oven. After this, you can allow the oven to completely cool and then start doing a deeper clean if necessary. If your oven doesn’t have a self-cleaning cycle, that’s okay! You will just have to put in some extra elbow grease to get it spotless.

  1. Take out any removable racks and scrub them with a mixture of warm water, baking soda, and vinegar.  After giving them an initial deep clean, use dishwashing liquid and a good dish scrubbing tool to get them sparkling clean.
  2. For an oven that’s old or heavily caked with gunk, spray it down with your cleaner of choice and allow it to soak for at least a couple of minutes. Then, use steel wool or a strong scrubbing tool that you can find at the grocery store to scrub at tougher spots—just be gentle as to not scratch any surfaces!
  3. Wipe down everything else with soapy water—you can use standard dish soap or one made specifically for cleaning ovens.
  4. Once you’ve removed all of the visible mess, give your oven a final wipe-down to get the remaining dirt or buildup completely cleaned.
  5. Replace the clean racks and enjoy your freshly clean oven!

Cleaning the Exterior of the Oven

  1. If you have a glass cooktop, spray down the surface with a cleaning product of your choice and allow it to sit for maximum results. Then, wipe down the surface with a cloth to remove any mess. If there is build-up grime and food, you can use a scraping tool to easily scrape the burnt-on bits from the glass top.
  2. If you have a stovetop with grates, you can remove these and clean them with a sponge and dish soap. Some grates can be put in the dishwasher, but check the manual first!
  3. If you have a stovetop with electrical burners, you can remove them and wipe them down with dish soap and a sponge. Be careful not to get the electrical connection on the burners wet, though! Remove the drip pans and give them a soak in warm, soapy water. Then, use a sponge and dish soap to scrub them and get off any remaining grime.
  4. If the exterior is extra dirty, start by scrubbing it down with a cleaning product and a scrubbing tool. Then, wipe off all of the dirt and grime with a cloth or paper towel. You can also pull the oven out of its place to make sure the sides are getting cleaned, too.
  5. After the initial deep scrub, use a cleaning product and a sponge or cloth and wipe down your oven’s exterior. Make sure to pick a cleaning product that is suitable for the finish of your oven! This second wipe-down will make sure the exterior of the oven is completely clean and shiny.

Hire a Cleaning Service

Cleaning your oven can be a tedious, daunting task. If your schedule is too busy to clean your oven or you would like to leave it to the professional, call a cleaning service! Professional cleaners know the right products and tools to clean your oven, no matter what kind you have.

Give Sparkling Clean Pro a call today to set up your cleaning service at (415) 742-4869. Sparkling Clean Pro services the San Francisco area, including San Mateo, San Rafael, Palo Alto, Redwood City, and Burlingame.

The Benefits of Hiring a Professional Cleaning Company

Cleaning your home regularly can take up quite a bit of time, even if you don’t consider yourself to be particularly messy.  Hiring a professional cleaning company can help reduce the time you spend cleaning your home and give you more time to do what you love, whether it’s hanging out with loved ones or pursuing your hobbies and interests.

Reduce Cleaning Effort

The average American spends more than five hours per week doing household chores, so most of us could use a little help. Why not outsource your housecleaning to save time and energy? A professional cleaning company will have you on your way in no time—and it’s likely to cost you less than $100 per visit (the cost varies depending on where you live and how often you want them to come).

Let Someone Else do the Dirty Work

More and more, people are hiring professionals to take care of things they either don’t want to do or can’t do well. House cleaning is one such task that typically falls into that category. If you’re not good at it or don’t want to spend your time doing it, hire someone else—it may seem like a luxury, but with all your other responsibilities you deserve some help.

Disinfect Your House from Top to Bottom

If you’re like most people, you clean your house thoroughly just before guests come over. That’s because regular cleaning is too much trouble for most people; it takes time, money and (yuck) effort. However, by disinfecting your house from top to bottom at least once a month (or even once every two weeks), you’ll remove much of that effort from your life.

Enjoy an Overall Better Mood

If you keep your home clean, you’ll probably be happier than if you don’t. A study from Carnegie Mellon University found that people who are surrounded by messes in their homes tend to have worse moods and lower self-esteem than those who have clean homes. Making time to clean and declutter your space can have an important impact on your mental health.

How to Rid Your Home of Germs with Household Disinfecting

We all know that disinfecting is a vital component of home care. It’s important to disinfect your home on a regular basis, but it can be hard to remember when you last did so. In this blog post, we will explore how disinfectants work and the best ways to rid your home of germs. We’ll also give some tips for disinfecting specific items, such as kitchen counters and bathrooms!

Disinfecting your home is not just about killing bacteria or viruses, it’s also important to get rid of dirt and grime. Bacteria are everywhere! They’re in the air you breathe, on surfaces that you touch, and even under your fingernails. It only takes a tiny amount of bacteria to cause an infection, so it’s important to disinfect your home regularly.

There are many different types of disinfectants available on the market. Some work better than others at killing specific types of bacteria or viruses. For example, alcohol-based disinfectants are great for killing Norovirus (the stomach flu), but they’re not as effective at disinfecting surfaces that are frequently touched by children, like door handles or kitchen counters.

The way disinfectants kill germs is very different from the way antibiotics fight infections. Antibiotics attack specific bacteria based on their genetic makeup. They target certain genes and either prevent them from replicating or use certain enzymes to kill the bacteria. Disinfectants, on the other hand, attack all types of germs in one way or another. They may destroy proteins that are important for a bacterium’s survival. Disinfect surfaces so they’re unable to attach and reproduce, or change their metabolism so they can’t function normally anymore.

Disinfecting your home can be a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be! Here are some tips for disinfecting different parts of your home:

  • Kitchen counters: Wipe down with an all-natural cleaning disinfectant.
  • Bathrooms: Clean surfaces with a non-toxic, eco-friendly disinfectant.
  • Door handles: Wipe down with a tea tree oil-based disinfectant to utilize the oil’s antibacterial properties.
  • Toys: Clean with a disinfectant that is safe for children.
  • Floors: Sweep or mop regularly and clean with a disinfectant.

Disinfecting your home is an important way to keep your family safe from germs. By following these tips, you can disinfect your home quickly and easily!
